With fantastic views of the valley beyond, the site for the House on a Hill in Coonoor made the planning fairly straightforward. The Floor Plan is organised as 3 adjoining blocks with all Living spaces organized so that they maximise the views towards the valley. The Living & Dining Rooms form the single central block with Bedroom blocks on either side. The Living Room flows out onto a large covered Deck space - perfect for a retired couple spending early mornings and late evenings with a cup of tea.

The individual blocks are highlighted with Pitched Roofs and with the Central block staggered very slighlty to provide a little emphasis and a sense of definition at the Entry. The typical Pitched Roof is tweaked slightly to eliminate eaves and integrate it as a volumetric expression, rather than as a separate Roof element giving the Residence a unique identity.
