Entering into a new market, the Delhi iteration of Lavonne Cafes was looked at as a vessel to present the company to a brand new city - An authentically Bangalore brand merging with its Delhi locale.

The space negotiates its tight confines by maximising open floor area - cortesy of a flexible and loose furniture layout - enclosed on all sides by pockets and niches with differing identities, either of function or aesthetics. All of this leads to the “Balcony” - an enclosed space with large windows and a glass roof, meant as an “Outdoor” space that immerses the guests in the immediate context while simultaneously shielding them from the harsher climate that Delhi is known for. The facade of this space with its combination of Wood & Glass makes it stand out on the building facade, instantly giving the Cafe a warm and inviting character.

The material palette that is characteristic of Lavonne projects is tweaked to include Red Agra stone, characteristic of so much of Delhi’s ancient history, in small doses as feature elements. This and the other materials are laid or organised in different patterns, elevating them and adding more texture to the space. In combination with sculptural light fixtures at the entry and the “Outdoor” area, this gives the Cafe a refined and distinctive identity - perfectly encapsulating and presenting the brand to a new audience.
